Division of Extracurricular Activities

    The Division of Extracurricular Activities is an important branch under the Office of Student Affairs, and is responsible for guiding nearly 200 student-led organizations in the school, which are divided into 7 broad categories: academic (focused on speculative reason and its practical applications), musical, artistic, sports, service, recreation, as well as student associations belonging to the various academic departments. The division guides the student organizations by offering training courses and conferences in order to enhance their ability to organize events.

    Under the guidance of the division, it is hoped that extracurricular activities can be an extension of student learning, in accordance with the goals of holistic education and self-actualization. By combining resources both from the school and from external sources, the spirit of humanistic education is realized through the carrying out of student activities. The division aims to help nurture the growth of students in the school’s spirit of Truth, Goodness, Beauty, Holiness, through its care and service rendered in student activities, cultivating values such as democracy, self-discipline, sense of responsibility, care and concern for others, as well as a sense of service towards the community, through the experiences garnered through student activities.

  2. Planning of training courses for leaders of student-led organizations
  3. Spur development of small/medium student-led organizations
  4. Planning of school carnival and exhibition of student organizations
  5. Management of loaning of equipment
  6. Management of the use of division noticeboards
  7. Organization of service learning trips to elementary and middle schools designated by the Ministry of Education as an education priority area
